Position: Data Analyst - Antimicrobial Stewardship Project Type: Fixed Term - 12 months Hours: Full Time at 76 hrs per f/n Grade: 5 Administrator (HS5) Department: The Epidemiology and Data Management Unit provides important data support to the Department of Infectious Diseases. The Unit consists of a team of data officers, analysts, and a Unit Manager. The team provides a broad range of data products including data extracts, reports, and analytics tools (such as dashboarding) for the clinical service, research projects, and epidemiology activities of the Department.
Position Summary This position will involve working within the Infectious Diseases Unit Data Management team supporting the Infectious Diseases Unit data requirements including Infection Prevention and the Victorian HIV Service. You will provide supervision, direction, and support to the data clerks with the Manager and work closely with key clinicians and researchers to address and respond to their data collection and data needs. You will be responsible for:
Data collection and management Database development Research and associated statistical analysis of information Involvement in quality assurance within the unit Development of a clinical dashboard to support the AMS Program clinical and auditing work and reporting requirements Providing ongoing support to the AMS Program and research staff Key Capabilities Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data rigor Ability to work independently and within a team environment Ability to project plan and meet project milestones Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills Ability to liaise at all levels of the organisation Good organisational, time management, written, and verbal skills An ability to prioritise competing requirements into a program of work Qualifications and Experience Required Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in an appropriate health, business, or technology field Good IT skills with experience working with SQL databases and reporting/dashboard tools Performance reporting and data analysis experience Staff Benefits 5 weeks of annual leave per year Salary packaging and novated leasing are available via Maxxia to maximise take-home salary Access to health and well-being incentives such as the Fitness Passport and discounted health insurance Onsite staff gym - a payroll deductible expense Onsite childcare services are available (subject to availability) Enquiries: Philip Rawson-Harris PH: 9076 5423
