About this opportunity:
Working with designers to interpret sketches into initial specification sheets and advise on best solutions for garment construction and fabric consumption. Conducting preparation of samples prior to Fitting: measuring of samples &cross checking any discrepancies with factory measurements, ensuring all requested amendments are reflected and reviewing workmanship. Leading fit sessions and demonstrate technical advice and problem solving alongside the designer. Processing fit comments and providing technical instructions to suppliers with the support of photographs, diagrams, and video's where necessary Liaising daily with suppliers to ensure production friendly methods and workshopping best practices for bulk. Maintaining and upholding Aje standard measurements and consistency of workmanship and construction techniques across all suppliers. Defining and maintaining grading rules and tolerances for each garment type. Conducting in-store quality spot checks and communicating findings to GT Manager. Identifying styles that require 3rd party inspections and organization of sealer packs. Reporting on &provide solutions of seasonal production issues, detailing each factory's performance against target expectations. Flagging any issues that could impact delivery with the production manager at PP stage. Assessing any returns and ensure any recurring issues are addressed. Attending weekly team meeting to provide updates on workflow in line with critical path expectations. Participating and contribute to building AJE internal manual and Supplier manual. Organization of storing PP and reference samples You will bring:
Minimum 3years' experience in similar role, specializing in women's tailoring, dresses, and soft separates (denim and knitwear would also be ideal but not essential) preferably in a luxury fashion house. Proficient understanding of garment pattern making, garment construction and textiles. Proficient understanding and accurate execution of technical packs. Experience working with Denim and Knitwear Literate in excel Microsoft office suite. Exceptional organizational skills & pro-active in problem solving. Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with internal stakeholders and offshore suppliers Detail orientated with strong garment quality control skills. Effective time management skills in line with the critical path Experienced in working in a fast-paced environment alongside the design and production teams.
