Testing Specialist (12-month fixed term contract)The roleAPRA is seeking a highly skilled Testing Specialist (12-month Fixed Term) with expertise in managing, designing, implementing, and executing automated test cases to identify data quality defects, integration defects and to ensure data, ETL and development meets our data quality standards. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical capabilities, proficiency in designing and executing test scenarios to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of the data used by APRA.The teamThis role will report to the Collaboration Systems Manager and work exclusively within Program GUIDE.Key responsibilitiesAs part of a project team delivering test plans, test scenarios, and detailed test cases;Execute test cases manually or where appropriate by using automated testing tools (UFT preferred);Facilitate UAT with relevant business stakeholders;Ability to generate and provision data files and data sets to consuming parties and systems for the purposes of testing in integration and data migration tests;Identify, document, and prioritise defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution;Automate testing processes in a repeatable and efficient manner where possible; andChallenging the status quo and seeking opportunities to simplify testing processes.About youAbility to write and understand SQL scripts with the intent to create data files, analyse the data and generate results;Knowledge on GIT and maintenance of source code repositories;Proficiency in Functional and Non-Functional Testing, with ability to lead the process from start to finish;Prior experience in automating testing and use of automation tools and test management tools; Azure Devops Test plans preferred;Strong stakeholder engagement, analytical and communication skills; andKnowledge or experience of testing with Dynamics 365 environments would be preferred.To work with us, you need to be an Australian citizen with eligibility to gain a Baseline Security clearance.About APRAThe Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) places you at the heart of Australia's financial services industry.
