Job Description Exiting opportunity exists for a Testing Officer based in Notting Hill, Melbourne to assist the Test Engineer in the examination, test and calibration of road safety enforcement technology equipment and other traffic systems to determine the performance and condition of such equipment.
This entry-level position, is field-based and involves daily travel within the metropolitan area. After full training, you will be responsible, but not limited to: Prepare and maintain the tools necessary for the examination and testing of road safety enforcement technology equipment and other traffic systems.
Ensure that all testing and calibration is carried out in a safe, professional and ethical manner.
Assist the Project Manager Traffic Systems in any such manner with regard to the Traffic Systems division.
Ensure Traffic Management is implemented to meet all HSE guidelines.
Maintain total customer focus.
Assist in the test of road safety enforcement technology and other traffic systems equipment in accordance with documented procedures to determine compliance with standards or client's requirements.
Record details of tests, results, assessments and observations in order to have a permanent record for report compliance and reference.
Prepare a written report of results, assessments and observations obtained from testing.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: Certificate in Electronics or progressing towards one OR an equivalent qualification and experience An understanding of Traffic Management and road side HSE Understanding of measurement and testing techniques relating to road safety enforcement technology and test equipment used An understanding of the principle used by road safety enforcement technology equipment Possess technical written skills to record test results Current and valid Australian driver's license.
