We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to lead the completion and commissioning of major rail projects, ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient delivery in collaboration with key stakeholders.

About the RoleLead and manage the completion and commissioning scope for the Train Maintenance Facility (TMF) uplift program.
Represent V/Line in managing testing, commissioning, and completions processes in collaboration with the Alliance.
Ensure all project requirements for testing, commissioning, and completions are met on time and to V/Line's standards.
Provide a safe workplace for staff and maintain a safe environment for customers and visitors.
Review and approve Testing and Commissioning Plans, Completions & Handover Management Plans, and related documents.
Prepare and oversee the final assimilation testing phase of the project (post commissioning).
Lead the resolution of open items, defects, and faults to ensure successful project acceptance.
Contribute to engineering reviews, risk workshops, and stakeholder reviews.
Ensure completeness of asset registers and timely responses to project communications.
Key accountabilities:
Oversee testing, commissioning, and completion activities.
Review and approve Testing and Commissioning Plans, Completions & Handover Management Plans, and related documents.
Lead the resolution of open items, defects, and faults to ensure successful project acceptance.
Ensure compliance with V/Line procedures and project requirements.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.
About youEssential:
Bachelor of Engineering, preferably in Civil.
Must hold an unrestricted, full Victorian Driver's Licence.
Rail specific: Proven experience in testing, commissioning, and completions within the Australian rail industry.
Strong background in completions and handover documentation and processes.
Technical expertise in Rail, Track, Civil, &/or Structures.
Familiarity with Alliance and LXRP interface requirements.
Experience with Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (MTIA) projects is desirable.
Excellent safety awareness for working in the rail industry.
Capabilities:
5+ years working with multiple business stakeholders in a complex environment, with demonstrated experience with government agency stakeholder management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and drive change.
Please note that this role is officially titled "Testing & Commissioning Completions Manager" within our Projects Delivery team.
We require someone who is already capable of working in commissioning and completions, hence the operational title.
