The new trains are being built right here in regional Victoria and will include a minimum of 60 per cent local content.
This will support up to 750 local jobs across the supply chain and up to 150 in the local Ballarat area.
The new X'Trapolis 2.0 trains will provide more reliable journeys, better passenger information, and improved accessibility, energy efficiency and comfort.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform Train Inspection/Preparation when vehicles are received at Commissioning Site.Perform Train Level Routine Commissioning and support to Validation testing - Static and Dynamic Tests in accordance with test procedures at Commissioning Site and on Main Line, sign off test specification sections as appropriate.Troubleshoot and rectify arising Technical Issues during Commissioning & Warranty Phase.Deliver Test completion in accordance with the Train Delivery Schedule.Generate and Issue Test Reports for completed Tests.Accurately report failures on the dedicated Failure Reporting Tool.Support management of spare parts on site.Liaise with Engineering on any arising quality/reliability issues that are identified.Contribute to Continuous Improvement Initiatives, process and procedure improvements.Competencies & SkillsAble to develop good technical understanding of train architecture and sub-systemsAble to follow Test Procedures and electrical schematicsExcellent technical troubleshooting skillsAble to respect Project Delivery Schedule and test timesAble to raise defects in Failure Reporting Tool and escalate issues if requiredAble to generate Test ReportsTrack Safety Awareness and RIW CardAt Alstom Transport, we offer you the opportunity to unleash your potential and reinvent yourself.
