We have an experienced leadership team and are committed to providing employment opportunities in Bowen for suitable candidates.The Role:We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Network Controller to join our team in Bowen.
As part of the Network Team, our Network Controllers effectively contribute to the safety and security of the Carmichael Rail Network (CRN) including the optimisation of productivity, team performance, safety compliance, and culture.Key Responsibilities:Safety Leadership: Set the standard for safety at Carmichael Rail Network.
Demonstrate visible safety leadership in line with the values.Plan and schedule rail traffic movements on the Network.Authorise the movement of Rail Traffic on the network in accordance with the CRN Construction Rule Book ensuring safe separation between Rail Traffic movements.Issue Local Possession Authorities (LPA) to allow track construction activities to occur.Issue Track Occupancy Authorities on open track sections to permit works to take place in the Danger Zone.Conduct observations and inspections on rail safety work in the rail corridor.Incident Management and Incident reporting.Collection of data for CRN monthly reporting to ONRSR.Act as Protection Officers as required to enable works in the Danger Zone.Ensure compliance of rail safety workers with the CRB including Drivers, Track Machine Operators, Protection Officers, and Possession Protection Officers.Should you ASPIRE to join our team, you will bring:Previous experience in a similar Train Control Role and/or Rail Operations environment.RIW Card (Rail Industry Worker Identification) (essential).SARC – Safely Access the Rail Corridor (Nationally Accredited).Excellent communication (oral and written) and professional presentation skills.Computer proficient (Advanced Microsoft Office, systems).Ability to commute across Bowen Rail Company site locations to support network requirements.In return you will be rewarded with:The opportunity of a lifetime to support a new rail business in Queensland.A company that invests in you and your career development.Competitive remuneration package including remote area housing salary sacrifice.Relocation Assistance.Work/Life harmony to enjoy your leisure time surrounded by the beautiful Whitsunday.Please note that pre-employment screening applies to this position which includes psychometric assessment, pre-employment medical, qualifications, and reference checking.Please APPLY NOW and submit your application to our careers site.Applications Close: 31st of January 2025.
