Job DescriptionThe Test Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products by leading and coordinating testing activities within the organisation. This role focuses on automation testing and involves managing a team of testers, overseeing test projects, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. The Test Lead collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to develop test strategies, create test plans, and execute tests to identify and report defects.
Act as a point of contact for testing-related queries and issues.Support the professional technical development of team members to enhance skills, promote cross-skilling and retain talent.Create a strong performance culture through clear goal setting, coaching and timely feedback.Establish a regular meeting cadence and sharing of ideas and knowledge.Test Planning and Strategy: Develop test plans and strategies that align with project objectives, timelines, and quality standards. Ensure that testing efforts are well-documented and communicated to stakeholders.Test Execution and Defect Management: Oversee the execution of test cases, track test progress, and manage defect reporting and resolution processes. Ensure that defects are prioritized based on business impact.Test Automation: Implement and maintain test automation frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency. Identify opportunities for test automation and guide the team in automating repetitive test cases.QualificationsTertiary qualified with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).Extensive experience in a similar role with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex applications.Proven experience in software testing, including automation testing.Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools.Knowledge of security testing best practices and tools.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.Up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices in testing and quality assurance.Proactive, positive, flexible and resilient.Experience in Scaled Agile Framework, Backlog Grooming to enable continuous improvement and delivery.Additional InformationSound exciting?
