Build your career and Australia's future.

Not many people can say they are working on building Australia's future. With us you'll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there's equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements. A bit about your role

As a Test Lead, primarily focused on Performance Testing, you will oversee and execute the end-to-end software test lifecycle, from conducting risk assessments and test planning to test execution and closure. Your goal will be to ensure production availability as new capabilities are developed, enhanced or decommissioned. You will utilize your extensive operational knowledge, performance engineering, and test automation experience to implement and maintain a robust performance engineering framework. This role involves developing detailed test plans, test scripts, and workload models based on functional and non-functional requirements and architectural designs to ensure high-quality delivery into production. In addition to testing accountabilities, you will support evaluation, selection, and maintenance of the appropriate performance tools to ensure their effective utilization and drive cost optimization. You will build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders within SEO and other business units, serving as the first point of contact for your scope of work and test campaigns. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing test plans, managing defects and release tests, and providing post-implementation support. You will ensure all testing operations align with nbn's established policies, procedures, and quality standards, contributing to the continuous improvement of test processes and practices. A bit about you

Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with exceptional attention to detail, enable you to excel in fast-paced, dynamic environments. You have several years of experience in performance engineering testing and test automation. You have hands-on experience with JMeter and are proficient with tools like LoadRunner or Blaze Meter, monitoring tools such as Grafana, New Relic and Splunk, and DevOps tools such as Jenkins including pipeline creation and maintenance. Experience testing applications and solutions in modern cloud hosted environments (e.g. AWS, or Azure) and broader automation test experience across API and UI would be your advantage. You have a proven track record of thought leadership, managing test outcomes and leading high-performing teams. Your hands-on experience with a mix of telecommunications technologies and systems, along with your strong business acumen, makes you adept at navigating complex projects. Your excellent communication and stakeholder management skills allow you to build strong relationships and effectively deliver outcomes. You are a self-starter who can lead from the front, with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to embed best practices across the team. You ideally hold tertiary qualifications in engineering, IT, or a related discipline, along with relevant certifications such as Scaled Agile, ISTQB, Performance certification, Scrum Master, or Product Owner.
