Test Engineer, Java, Maven

Urgent requirement for an automation tester to work on API and Web based frameworks in Java, Maven and SQL.

The role requires someone to create and/or enhance a framework with Java. You will be expected to add scripts to it, which will be mainframe and database scripts, so experience in SQL would be highly regarded, as would BDD and Cucumber.
Other skills required: A minimum of 5-6 years in software testing. Solid experience in programming with core Java. Expert level understanding of object oriented programming (OOP). About 2 to 3 years of experience in test automation using Java and Maven. Good working knowledge of Git. Good working knowledge of Cucumber based automation framework. Experience in Web or Client based application test automation. Experience in writing SQL queries to validate database results. Experience in writing Test cases for different phases of testing like System Testing, E2E Testing, UAT testing etc. Good understanding of testing APIs and backend applications. Worked in an environment with a structured test process, performing System and System Integration testing. Proven experience in test design based on in-depth technical and requirements analysis. Experience in contributing/writing Test Strategy, Test plan, Test summary etc. Experience with test management tools such as JIRA and Confluence. You will be a hardworking, self-starter who can handle data heavy, API projects.
