Testing & Quality Assurance (Information & Communication Technology)
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Test Director to lead testing initiatives for a global manufacturer. This role is ideal for a professional with a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach to ensure quality and performance standards are upheld across all software and hardware products. You will oversee the entire testing function, establishing testing policies and frameworks, leading a team of test managers and engineers and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to support business objectives and deliver high-quality solutions.
Key responsibilities: Lead, mentor and manage a team of test professionals across software, hardware, and embedded systems testing.Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and design teams to ensure test plans are integrated and support continuous delivery.Establish and enforce quality standards, KPIs, and metrics to monitor and improve testing effectiveness.Champion a quality-first culture, promoting awareness and adherence to best practices across the organisation.To succeed in this critical role, you will offer: Proven experience as a Test Director or senior test leadership role within a technology-driven environment, ideally within a product lead industry.Strong expertise in both manual and automated testing strategies across diverse product lines (software, hardware and embedded systems).Deep knowledge of testing methodologies, tools and best practices, particularly within Agile and DevOps environments.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.Experience implementing and optimising test automation frameworks and tools.This organisation offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge manufacturing company with a positive impact on millions of lives worldwide.
