We are seeking a Test and Commissioning Engineer for a 12-month contract role with Alstom, working on a project with BHP in Pilbara, WA.

Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.DescriptionDevelop and review technical documentation such as test plans, test specifications, test procedures, and reports.Coordinate testing activities and resources, ensuring quality, timing, and cost objectives are met.Prepare test methods and perform both static and dynamic tests on train sets according to agreed procedures.Analyse test data and logs, create test reports, and present findings to relevant stakeholders.Manage faults and issues identified during testing, collaborating with project experts and contractors for resolution.Create test logs and NCRs, ensuring follow-up and resolution.Adhere to technical, process, and HSE-related procedures throughout the testing phase.Act as a liaison between the engineering team in Australia and international design and project functions, such as safety, testing, and commissioning teams.Track progress against the schedule, highlighting key issues and risks.ProfileTertiary qualification in Engineering (Electronics/Electrical).Proficient in English, both oral and written.Strong analytical skills and prior experience in Test & Commissioning (T&C) or V&V activities for signalling projects, preferably with locomotive ATP (ETCS) integration.Ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders from both technical and managerial perspectives.Excellent stakeholder management skills, including communication with suppliers, customers, partners, and internal teams.Ability to communicate via radio and follow instructions from Test Managers.Job OfferJoin a dynamic and innovative team at a global industry leader.This role offers competitive pay rates and the chance to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.To achieve meaningful, tangible outcomes that have a positive impact on broader society.
