Role: Test Analyst
Daily Rate: $750 - $850 incl. Super
Contract Length: Initial 3-months, with further 9 month extension.
Location: Sydney/WFH
As Test Analyst, you will be at the forefront of validating system integrity, ensuring data consistency, and supporting seamless implementation. Your expertise in test planning, execution, and defect management will play a critical role in delivering quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:Test Case and Requirements Management Develop and document comprehensive test cases covering functional and non-functional requirements.Ensure all functional and non-functional requirements in the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) are testable and aligned with acceptance criteria.Planning and Governance Contribute to the prioritization and execution of test scripts for the Business Acceptance phase.Provide input to sprint planning to ensure all testing is aligned with agreed acceptance criteria.Collaborate on defining the scope of System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).Non-Functional Testing Assist in planning and executing performance, disaster recovery, and role-based permission tests.Test Execution and Reporting Utilize SQL and KQL for query and analysis to support test execution.Execute test cases, identify and track defects, and generate test result reports.Work closely with development teams to understand system architecture and ensure data flow accuracy.Defect and Implementation Management Oversee defect management processes, ensuring timely resolution within agreed SLAs.Support quality assurance and implementation acceptance for successful production cutover.Required Experience and Skills:Technical Proficiency Advanced SQL skills: complex query writing, performance tuning, and familiarity with database platforms (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).Knowledge of KSQL and the Kafka ecosystem for real-time data processing.Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).Testing Expertise Proficiency in developing and executing test cases for database applications.Familiarity with performance and load testing tools.Strong analytical skills to identify data patterns and troubleshoot issues.Collaboration and Communication Excellent documentation skills for test plans, results, and defect reporting.Proven ability to collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business analysts.Preferred Experience in utilities or asset management industries.Familiarity with agile and standard project management methodologies.Please APPLY today for an ASAP start!
