Test Analyst- Hybrid Role -All States Open To: Australian Citizens With or Able To Pass Baseline Clearance Location: Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra Or Adelaide Duration: 6-12 months + Hybrid Role The primary objective of the Test Analyst position is to develop and implement test activities at a project level. This includes identifying the amount of effort, the levels and types of testing to be executed, test case creation and execution as well as contributing to the project test delivery in line with the Test Strategy and Plan.Key Accountabilities: This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the role of testing in software development lifecycle. Strong capability in defining the scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery based on requirements. Defect identification and management is an integral part of this role to ensure delivery of a quality product.Specific Key Accountabilities are detailed below: Testing Management
Assist in the development of test strategies/plan and test estimates Creation and documentation of test cases based on requirements and other artefacts. Creating or running test reports and communicating within the project team. Assist in triaging defects to ensure categories of failures are identified and categorised appropriately Execute manual test cases for multiple test phases Assist and guide business users during User Acceptance Testing
Working relationships and Interpersonal skills
Work within a small multi-disciplined and geographically dispersed team Effective communication across a wide range of audiences and ability to adapt approach to suit the audience Ability to effectively communicate, help others to understand and demonstrate how success/failure of a requirement/solution is validated Be able to effectively communicate with those that demonstrate low technical or testing expertise/knowledge
Managing Testing Lifecyle
Lead Testing and UAT activities including working with the project team to facilitate the business executing UAT Perform the execution of a number test phases including System Testing and System Integration Testing Defect Identification, Management and Communication Working to resolve and unblock testing including requirements clarifications (either with BA or requirement owner)
Essential Requirements Minimum of 2-3 years' experience covering all areas of the testing lifecycle in multiple industriesExperience in working in a collaborative and distributed Agile environment with minimal direction and supervision. Experience in Agile development lifecycle and practices The ability to liaise with staff across all levels of the business Experience in writing and execution of test cases Familiarity with being able to run, analyse and report on test outcomes Experience in reviewing and assessing testability of requirements Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Experience in the use of Testing Tools specifically Azure Devops Australian citizen with ability to obtain baseline clearance if required.
Desirable Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience desirable ISTQB Test Analyst Certification ISTQB Certified Foundation Level Agile Tester
