Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Estimating Manager will play a pivotal role in coordinating all aspects of commercial tendering, whilst supporting the estimation team. This dynamic role combines communication, innovation, risk management, and collaboration to deliver competitive, high-quality project solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Lead tender processes by analysing documents, attending site briefings, and developing actionable plans. Identify and mitigate risks related to programming, materials, and buildability. Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure alignment on tender strategies and pricing. Prepare and write project methodologies, tender programs, WHS plans, and value-engineered cost solutions. Engage with clients and stakeholders to foster strong professional relationships. Oversee tender handovers to project management teams and review completed project outcomes. Skills and Experience: At least 5-10 years in the construction industry, with 3+ years of estimating/bid experience, preferably in the NT. Proficiency in industry-specific software such as Procore and Cost X, highly desirable. Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and deliver under pressure. A proactive and detail-oriented mindset with a focus on innovation and collaboration.
