What is the Role? As a final year tertiary student in 2025, gain paid work experience one day per week, to learn about teaching in a Christian school. This is a contract position commencing Week 1, Term 1 2025. The Internship is one-day-per-week, throughout terms. The programme has been designed to be completed around your final year of study, to provide you with the opportunity to be a part of the St Andrew's Cathedral School community and to learn about teaching in a Christian school. As an Intern, you will be provided with:
a dedicated Mentor Teacher support and oversight of the programme(s) by the School Coordinator collegial weekly Intern meetings, including devotionals, professional discussions about the development of teaching practice, and reflections on the progression of your individual teaching goals. Paid opportunities to attend relevant Professional Learning Who will the successful applicant be? A tertiary student in their final year in 2025 (Bachelor or Master of Education/ Teaching) Possess a genuine interest to learn about teaching in a Christian School Able to demonstrate a growing knowledge of recent developments in the theory and practice of pedagogy. Display outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers Expected to understand and have a commitment to the School's Christian mission, values and ethos.
