Partnering with leading international breeding companies as their key suppliers has enabled them to grow consistently over the years into agricultural market leaders in the supply of vegetable seed.As market leaders, they have specialised technical staff and world-class seed production facilities and provide the highest quality seed offering to their customers with high purity and germination rates trialled under local conditions, so perform reliably with an exceptional reputation.The PositionTerranova Seeds is now seeking a new Territory Manager – Southeast Queensland to adopt the good work done historically and then add your own flavour and footprint to existing and introducing Terranova products and services to new customers.Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be based in the Lockyer Valley (ideally) and be responsible for achieving sales and gross profit budgets within the designated territory. You will incorporate business development strategies and key stakeholder activities to manage a wide range of growers, distributors, and nursery accounts across the region.You will also oversee trials of new products and work closely with the new product development team to place and assess trials on growers' properties and ensure that the results are fully reported in a timely manner. Seed quality and effective use of information and intelligence is key to preserving the business's reputation.The PersonTo be successful in this role you will:Have proven sales experience in the vegetable seed industry OR vegetable knowledge, ideally 3 years plus.Have experience working with customers to grow revenues and gross profit.Be a natural stakeholder manager with an 'easy to deal' personality.Have some level of exposure to vegetable markets from a farm production perspective and an understanding of farming seasonality.Be a team player, professional, respectful, and happy to share thoughts, ideas, and assistance willingly.You may be an experienced Territory Manager looking to move to an ethical well-run seed business.
