As Australia's very own fuel brand we are committed to making those journeys easier by meeting Australia's needs at every step with the care and service we all deserve.About the role:Reporting to the Terminal Manager, you will be involved in supporting the management of all terminal related operations and to execute excellence in the provision of safe, reliable, and effective operations to ensure delivery of product to customers. Under the guidance of the Terminal Manager, you will be trained in the operation and maintenance of the terminal equipment and responsible for ensuring the safe handling and storage of fuel products and quality control.The role is based in Port Hedland. You will be generally working on day shift Monday to Friday with night shift and weekend work when required. There are shared on-call responsibilities and you will also have to travel and support other terminals interstate, when required.Key responsibilities:Deliver safe and incident free operations to achieve an incident and injury free facilityEnsure that all terminal operations comply with relevant environmental and safety standardsManage stock control and balancing through monitoring the daily supply situation and taking appropriate action where neededManage stock processing and control receipting stock into terminals with timely reconciliation of terminal inventoriesConduct ship discharges and pipeline receipts in a safe mannerCoordinate and perform repairs and maintenance functions in accordance with the SAP programmed maintenance schedules through review of work requestAssist to develop and review documents such as operating procedures, standing orders, shutdown and start up proceduresPerform terminal safety inductions and support localised training programsSupport strategic and key infrastructure projectsIdentify and support implementation of improvement initiativesSupport risk management activity and ensure that compliance with Ampol, regulatory requirement, safety and environment standards are met.About you:You have a positive and can-do attitude with strong mechanical aptitude. Preferable with experience in Petro-Chem is ideal however we are open to new to industry or someone who is looking to develop a career within this field. You display high work ethic, eager to learn and demonstrate a high focus on safety.Key skills and experience:Previous experience in petro-chem, working knowledge of shore officer processes and procedures, terminal and pipeline operations is desirable (not essential)Issue and/or receipt of work permits is desirable (not essential)Flexibility to commit to after-hours shifts, interstate and on call as required.Good sound knowledge of relevant industry and safety standardsStrong planning and organising skillsAbility to work autonomouslyStrong mechanical aptitudeSafety focussed with experience in safe operation of a hazardous facility is idealGood communication skills (verbal and written)Ability to acquire and maintain a Maritime Security Identification Card is essentialWant to take your career to the next level?
