Reporting to the Regional Financial Controller, the Local Finance Leader will be a key partner to the Australian management team, providing critical business decision support through comprehensive financial analysis and insights.
In this role, you will leverage your financial expertise and deep business knowledge to influence strategic decisions and drive performance improvements.
A key aspect of the position is to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to optimise and enhance the ERP system.
You will also be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely submission of management reports and analyses, while aligning local accounting practices and internal controls with corporate standards and policies.
Role Responsibilities:
Optimise the ERP system to improve the accuracy of financial reporting Provide input to shared service team during month-end close process and ensure timely and accurate submission of corporate reporting deliverables Review monthly financial results, provide commentary, financial forecasts/annual operating plan Perform/Coordinate reviews of internal controls compliance of the company Co-ordinate with inventory management team on cycle counts Ensure accounting policies and procedures are in alignment with corporate policies Provide information to support internal transfer pricing analysis process Review and process capital expenditure request, including cost analysis and commercial considerations Co-ordinate with pricing team to provide pricing insight to the business team on machine deals Co-ordinate with shared service team on credit limit requests and receivables collections Review monthly variance for departmental spend, margin and net working capital Provide support to the Regional Financial Controller and management as necessary.
Implement financial strategic plan as set by VP Finance or CFO.
Experience and Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability in the areas of financial control/monitoring, financial planning & analysis and team management with at least 7 years' experience, preferably with 3 years in a similar role.
Experience in finance partnering Good understanding of Australian Accounting Standards / US GAAP Preferred: Oracle Preferred: Good knowledge of internal control compliance Preferred Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualifications About the business
