We support people living with Alzheimer's, dementia and cognitive decline, disabilities, post-operative care needs, and older Australians. About the role We currently have positions available for qualified, reliable, and passionate Personal Care Workers to join our team in The Terang area. It is preferred, however not essential, that you have experience in the Aged Care sector. You will need to be friendly, positive, and demonstrate client-focused behaviour, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect. You will also need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference, be honest, helpful, and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.
Responsibilities will include: Working within a person-centred, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client.Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and domestic duties.Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship, and support.Providing support with academic, social, or recreational activities.Preparing food, feeding clients, and administering medications.Observing, caring for, and reporting any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client.Responding to emergency situations.Minimum Certificate III in Individual Care or equivalent.Good verbal and written communication skills.Willingness to learn, develop, and take on new challenges.Current or willingness to gain a National Police Check.Current First Aid & CPR certificates.Working with Children Certificate (Not Mandatory).
