TENNIS COACH / PROFESSIONAL OPERATOR- TENNIS TOWNSVILLE Skip to content Coaching & Instruction (Sport & Recreation) An exciting opportunity exists for a Professional Coach or Operator to join the team at the city's longest established tennis club.The club is currently seeking expressions of interest of a self motivated and experienced coach operator to drive Tennis participation at all levels and manage the centre operations.
Situated in the iconic Townsville sporting precinct, Tennis Townsville is a thriving tennis community consisting of 16 premium tennis courts, that prides itself on hosting tennis programs for all ages and abilities.
The successful applicant will have a proven track record in increasing tennis participation and growth by creating clear player pathways, offering community-based programs and establishing important partnerships with schools.
In addition, the successful applicant will also have experience running the operations of a large-scale centre preferably in a regional location.
Remuneration will be dependent on the Coach or Operators ability to establish a suite of programs, including coaching, competitions and tournaments, pro shop operations and complementary formats.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Tennis Townsville Club Committee to establish the appropriate lease to the club with attractive incentives possible based on performance.
The successful applicant will be responsible for (amongst other duties):Development squadsHoliday campsWeekly Fixtures Running numerous tournaments (NQ Open and JDS Tournaments etc)Running of the daily centre operations including bookings, pro shop, and smaller maintenance items.
ESSENTIAL:Self-organised/motivated Experience managing a team of coaches Experience implementing complementary formats Experience with Tournament Planner advantageousQUALIFICATIONS Club Professional Tennis Coach Must be a Tennis Australia coach member or be able to provide proof of adequate insurance, qualification, Working With Children Checks and First Aid certification.Remuneration range will be based on experience and qualifications.Job available to start In January 2025.
