This position is responsible for supporting the business's current and future growth through the management of our tenement portfolio, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and reporting commitments.
Responsibilities:
Review and manage all documentation related to tenement maintenance, protection, acquisition, and relinquishment within Australia, and liaise with government departments for timely submission.Manage the tenements database to ensure compliance with statutory obligations.Assist with company reporting and obligations under access, mineral rights, and heritage agreements.Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill tenement-related tasks.Liaise with statutory bodies and industry representatives on tenement management issues.Oversee tenement application processes and post-application compliance.Review, audit, and track tenement expenditure, providing recommendations to stakeholders and management.Prepare and lodge tenement applications and compliance documentation.Collaborate with tenement management consultants to optimize outcomes for the business.Prepare regular internal reports on tenure status.Establish and refine internal processes and procedures for tenement management.Assist with Warden Court matters, including objections, compliance, and negotiation.Assist in budget preparation related to tenure.Offer strategic advice on tenements, land access, and due diligence. Requirements:
Ideally +3 years of experience in tenement management across WA, NSW, SA, and Victoria.Experience with relevant state government portals.Proficiency in database administration.A degree in Geology or geosciences is preferred but not mandatory.Proficiency in GIS software for geological dataset mapping.Familiarity with the Aboriginal Heritage Act and Native Title Act.Legal or geological background is advantageous.Strong knowledge of the Mining Act and Regulations.Experience in government relations and contract management.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities Next Steps Click "Apply" and start your brilliant journey with Tronox today!
