Tenement Administrator The Opportunity Northern Star Resources has an opportunity for a Land & Tenure Administration professional to join the Discovery Land Administration Department , in a permanent, full-time capacity, working at our Subiaco Head Office.
Reporting to the Senior Land Advisor , this key role will oversee the day-to-day administration of NSR's tenure and joint ventures, ensuring the effective management of land access, tenure compliance & joint venture agreements, and providing high-level support across the exploration and operational needs of the department.
Key responsibilities include the following: Administer NSR's and its Joint Venture Mining Act Tenure on a day-to-day basis in addition to Land Act leases within an assigned portfolio.
Prepare statutory forms and reports in a timely manner for submission to government agencies, including the coordination of accompanying documentation (Expenditure Reporting, Tenement Applications, and Relinquishments).
Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders.
Ensure statutory and contractual compliance with relevant tenure obligations.
Oversee the timely processing of critical payments for the assigned portfolio.
Stay informed about changes to relevant government legislation and guidelines.
Assist in monitoring third-party ground and its availability to NSR.
About you? With significant experience (3+ years) in a similar position within land & tenure administration, you are genuinely passionate about your work, and have a sound working knowledge of compliance standards relating to mineral tenements.
The following will also see you set for success in this key role: Experience in a similar Land & Tenure Administration role is key to the success of this role, with sound proficiency working with Land & Tenure administration systems, such as Lease Control, Expenditure Watch, Land Tracker, Tengraph, MTO & Pronto highly advantageous.
High-level of experience across the exploration/mining industry, as well as an extensive knowledge of the Western Australia & Northern Territory Mining Acts, the Native Title Act and the Aboriginal Heritage Act, are highly desirable for this role.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence & build solid & functional relationships across multiple operations and a diverse group of stakeholders.
Flexible & adaptable to changing priorities, you possess strong time-management skills, can multitask effectively, and are comfortable working in a dynamic & outcome-driven environment.
Extremely well organised with a high attention to detail, you are innovative, with strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
Advanced computer literacy across Microsoft 365 Products , with experience using Arc GIS highly desirable.
