The Tender Evaluation Officers will lend their expertise to the ongoing management of the end-to-end tender refresh cycle for the 'open often' marketplaces and panels managed by the Digital Transformation Agency's (DTA) Digital Sourcing Branch.The Tender Evaluation team uses a range of tools such as Sharepoint, MS Word, and MS Excel to support components of the process. Knowledge and prior experience using these tools along with a formal Certificate IV in Government Procurement and Contracting would be advantageous; however, training will be provided to the selected candidates.In your capacity as a Tender Evaluation Officer, you will be responsible for evaluating tender applications and providing support, guidance, and strategic input to help shape continuous improvements throughout panel and Marketplace establishment and refresh cycles. Demonstrating sound judgement in the interpretation of the Commonwealth's procurement rules and policies governing a tender application and evaluation process, the role will support activities being undertaken by the DTA in providing businesses the opportunity to apply for inclusion on our panels and marketplaces, allowing them to participate in Australian Government procurements.The successful applicant will be able to take advantage of the DTA's flexible working arrangements and must feel comfortable working collaboratively with other team members using a variety of online video conferencing and chat applications.Key Duties:Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders on the development of tender documentation in compliance with all legislative and audit requirements, for the establishment and/or refresh of a marketplace or panel.Manage end-to-end panel refreshes and/or Request for Tender activities in line with procurement and contract requirements.Undertake administrative and evaluation functions for the tender process as directed.Monitor, track, and provide regular updates on the status of the marketplace or panel refresh, escalating risks and providing advice on corrective actions.Organise the signing and delivery of Enrolment letters and Head Agreements to successful applicants.Review Seller profiles, offerings, and their related compliance documentation (STRs, Insurances, WGEA etc.) to the marketplace or panel.Other ad hoc duties associated with the role, that would form part of the establishment or refresh of a marketplace or panel.Security Clearance level required: Baseline (or ability to obtain and maintain).To be eligible for employment with the DTA applicants must be an Australian citizen.An applicant's suitability for employment with the DTA will be assessed through a pre-employment screening process.
