You will be housing people who may never had their own home before and managing their tenancies on behalf of Launch Housing and the Director of Housing, Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH).
This is end-to-end Property Management without landlords and directly working with renters. You will be performing day-to-day property management such as starting tenancies, collecting rent, managing arrears, property inspections, and maintenance management in accordance with the Residential Tenancies Act. You will also be working closely with Support Workers, legal aid, and other stakeholders to carry out your duties collaboratively, flexibly and with care to give our renters a good service.
You will be given the discretion to problem solve and decide how best to achieve good renter outcomes. This is a rewarding and challenging role for someone who wants to work in a supportive team and contribute to our mission to end homelessness.
What you'll be doing: Advertise properties, arrange property viewings, and sign-up new tenancies.Manage maintenance and repairs of properties.Be involved in rent collection and arrears management.Conduct property inspections in accordance with organisational policies and relevant legislation.Represent Launch Housing Services at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunals (VCAT).Provide timely tenancy reports and assist in the collation of data for reporting.What we're looking for (key selection criteria): Experience within the Real Estate sector or Community Housing sector in the tenancy and property management functions.Sound understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act (1997).Experience representing an organisation in a formal environment such as VCAT, or similar.Ability and interest in establishing positive relationships with people of diverse backgrounds.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.Well-developed organisational and time management skills.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders in formal and informal partnerships to achieve positive outcomes.Demonstrated administrative skills, including a high level of data accuracy and strong attention to detail.Ability to work autonomously.Experience maintaining the Chintaro Tenancy Management System or a similar program.Demonstrated commitment to the values of Launch Housing and our mission to end homelessness.Salary: $87,679.86 a year + Superannuation + NFP salary packaging + Additional wellbeing leave available
