Legal Officer - Grade 1-3 Temporary Full-Time up to 12 months Woolloomooloo About us The NSW Police Force (NSWPF) is one of the largest police forces in the western world, with more than 20,000 employees, including more than 4,000 administrative employees who support the sworn officers that provide a range of law and order services 24 hours a day, seven days a week to the socially, geographically and culturally diverse community of NSW. About the role We have an opportunity for a Lawyer - Commercial and Administrative Law Unit to be part of our Office of the General Counsel team. The Lawyer is responsible for the provision of high quality, timely, ethical and professional legal services in relation to civil matters involving the NSWPF. This can include administrative law litigation and advice (particularly in the regulatory and licensing context), privacy and open government, government finance and procurement, intellectual property, and general commercial work. The ideal candidate will have either experience in or capacity to undertake administrative law matters and other crime-adjacent civil work. The Temporary Assignment will be for a period of up to 12 months from date of commencement and will be subject to work performance, availability of work and/or incumbent returning to the role earlier than anticipated.
