Want to kick-start your career in Local Government in a Business Administration or Customer Service based role?
Throughout the year, there are temporary work opportunities that may become available at Council for Business Administration and Customer Service professionals.
We may need your administration and customer service skills while we support staff to take leave, or on secondment in another area of Council.
Whatever the reason, a temporary work opportunity can serve as your foot in the door to a rewarding and diverse career in Local Government.
In any administration or customer service role with Council, you would focus on providing outstanding service, efficiently completing administrative tasks and telephone coverage.
Depending on the placement, this might include maintaining electronic records, processing invoices and writing correspondence.
Depending on the placement requirements and the candidate, the typical salary range for a temporary administration or customer service placement may range from $2,391.68 gross per fortnight to $3,009.22 gross per fortnight for full time hours of work.
As an employee of Council, you will have access to a range of other benefits and learning opportunities during the temporary placement, and if you secure permanent employment with Council during or immediately after the temporary placement, all leave accruals from remain in place.
