We currently have a temporary vacancy for a Senior Engineer (Civil) with extensive knowledge and experience in the delivery of transport and infrastructure projects to join the Logan and Gold Coast (LGC) Faster Rail Project. Working on this exciting project, you will be a part of a team that is delivering major improvements for customers and communities between Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast.
The Logan and Gold Coast (LGC) project will unlock the current bottle neck on the Southeast Queensland rail network to enable more services to run more frequently and reliably between Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast and is a key infrastructure investment ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. With extensive track upgrades, 9 new train stations, 5 level crossing removals, park 'n' ride upgrades and new active travel pathways, this transformational project will deliver significant benefits to communities, customers and businesses along the 20km corridor.
In the role of Senior Engineer (Civil) you will provide specialist advice, input and technical support for the delivery of infrastructure packages on the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail (LGC) Project.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Provide support to Project Managers / Principal Engineers in the delivery of rail and civil infrastructure components within the LGC project to ensure benefits are delivered and time, budgetary and quality requirements are met. Provide engineering input into project planning, detailed design, construction methodology and proposed maintenance practices to ensure value for money and best practice are achieved. Provide advice and support on project reviews, procurement, design, contractual issues and contract performance, through various contract models, including but not limited to RIC-CO (modified TIC-CO), design and construct, and Early Contractor Involvement contracts. Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary to support responsible decisions and courses of actions for the design and construction of the LGC project. Monitor project performance management systems, ensuring they are in place, supporting the delivery of individual projects within the LGC corridor. Work collaboratively with the LGC project team to develop a positive team culture and support effective relationships at all levels. Develop and maintain ongoing constructive relationships and strategic networks within TMR, Queensland Rail and other government agencies and jurisdictions, industry, stakeholders, community and internal and external clients. Coordinate resource allocation, encouraging effective teamwork and fostering a positive attitude towards the achievement of organisational objectives. Mandatory qualifications and conditions for this role include:
A Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent Civil Engineering qualification which is accepted by Engineers Australia. Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ). Current C-class driver's license. Some employment benefits:
$115,742 - $124,688k superannuable salary. 12.75% employer superannuation contributions.
