Job Description: Project Manager for LGC Project The LGC project will unlock the current bottleneck on the Southeast Queensland rail network to enable more services to run more frequently and reliably between Brisbane, Logan, and the Gold Coast.
This is a key infrastructure investment ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
With extensive track upgrades, 9 new train stations, 5 level crossing removals, park 'n' ride upgrades, and new active travel pathways, this transformational project will deliver significant benefits to communities, customers, and businesses along the 20km corridor.
You will manage the design, construction, and handover of key packages or components of the LGC project and provide specialist technical advice to ensure successful delivery of the project in a safe and integrated way within time, quality, cost, and stakeholder expectations.
These works may include stations, civils and structures, rail systems, open level crossing removals, rail interfaces, and public utility providers.
Your Responsibilities as Project Manager Include: Effective project team management. Determining requirements and understanding impacts of activities within and interfacing with the LGC corridor. Investigating and resolving complex issues. Ensuring effective performance management systems are in place to support delivery of the work program. Providing authoritative, strategic, and operational advice on project procurement and delivery. A Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Engineering or equivalent and RPEQ are essential for this role.
You will also have:
Team leader experience. Understanding and application of program and project management principles. Construction practice knowledge and experience (particularly related to rail/civil construction projects). Applications to remain current for 12 months.
