Temp Handyman/Maintenance Assistant

Work for one of Australia's most reputable not-for-profit organisations! Prior experience with Handyman/Maintenance work is a must. 2-month temp contract with potential for extension.
The Role As the Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for the upkeep of the building and surroundings based in Canberra. Your duties will include:
Minor property repairs (i.e. light bulbs, door hinges etc) Maintaining an adequate inventory of supplies Upkeep of gardens and entranceways Work closely with the Facilities Manager Inspect grounds, facilities, and equipment routinely Delegate work to staff as needed Plan, schedule, and coordinate general maintenance, major repairs Candidate Requirements To be suitable for this role, you must have:
Previous experience and background in all areas of hands-on maintenance Qualifications in trade or trade-related enterprises would be beneficial but not essential Sound computer skills A patient demeanor when dealing with residents Excellent communication skills A valid driver's license and car Clear current police check Benefits Immediate start with potential for long-term role.
