What's the opportunity? As the Atlassian Lead, you will define and prioritise activities to support Telstra Health's implementation of the Atlassian suite of software including Jira Align. Your role will ensure that our delivery model meets high standards of quality and deliver significant value, enhancing our digital health solutions and improving user experience.
About the role: The Atlassian Lead is an integral position at Telstra Health with responsibility for informing key projects through provision of comprehensive business insights and data and providing support to the wider team to successfully execute projects. Drive adoption and standardised use of Atlassian Tooling (Service Management, Dev and Project Management Tooling) supporting migration of activity and data to single cloud instance and setting up Jira Align for company-wide deployment. Define and prioritise the migration and uplift backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals. Make informed decisions on feature prioritisation, balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, and business objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed requirements and translate them or work with the strategic partner to translate them into a standard ways of working and system configuration. Provide coaching and support for members within the Product and Technology community to ensure efficient application of Atlassian tooling. Work closely with the EPMO Program Manager and assist by providing context, use cases and low fidelity flows and wireframes as required. Enable and support the business to adopt agile ways of working, through the consistent application of Atlassian tooling. Ensure the timely delivery of system features by removing roadblocks and facilitating efficient team collaboration both internally and where relevant, with the strategic partner teams. Conduct regular reviews to measure system performance and lead continuous improvement using an iterative approach. Analyse support data and identify system improvements / non-functional improvements. Support the development team (and the Partner Product Owner where relevant) during the sprint cycle, providing clarifications and adjustments to ensure alignment with the systems vision. Work with the quality assurance team to ensure that product feature specifications meet defined acceptance criteria and deliver value to users. Customer Feedback and Continuous Improvement : Lead engagement with customers to gather insights around product pain points or compelling opportunities, and translate insights into product improvements that deliver greater business and customer value. Stakeholder Management : Communicate product plans, progress, and results to stakeholders, managing expectations and addressing concerns. Stay abreast with latest Atlassian suite developments, suggesting ways on how Telstra Health could benefit from new features/functionalities/tools released or soon to be released to the market. About you: Degree: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field. Product Management Certifications: Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) are beneficial. Other relevant Agile or product management certifications are desirable. Additional Qualifications: Training in business analysis, Jira deployment/use, or project management. At least 2 years or equivalent demonstrated experience in:
Strong experience in configuration and usage of Atlassian software. Solid technical/delivery/commercial background with experience working across a business's operations or IT systems. Strong analytical skills that drive a data-based approach to delivering and reporting on projects. Organisational skills that enable independent working and progressing project deliverables in isolation when required. Agile Methodologies: Hands-on experience working in Agile environments, with a deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile frameworks. Experience in facilitating Agile ceremonies and collaborating with development teams. Stakeholder Engagement: Proven track record in engaging with stakeholders, gathering requirements, and translating them into actionable user stories and product features. Ability to manage expectations and communicate product decisions effectively. Facilitating prioritisation of requirements based on articulated value and desired outcomes. Technical Understanding: Some technical background or experience working closely with technical teams working on operational or new systems-based projects. Please note, this role is a fixed term contract between 9 - 12 months.
