The Opportunity
The Telflow Technical Architect roles is designed to provide leadership and technical implementation of all facets of the Telflow software development lifecycle. The role is designed to ensure that the Telflow platform, interfaces and associated infrastructure components are fit-for-purpose, maintained and developed according to the needs of the business but within the realms of the systems capabilities.
The role will lead the development team and work closely with the Technical Product Owner, Mission team, solution architects, other platform technical architects, key stakeholders within business community to lead and implement solutions based on business problems ensuring alignment to Vocus architectural principals, best practice with a focus on out of the box capability that enables the business users to effectively drive better outcomes and efficiencies within the Telflow eco systems.
What you'll be doing day-to-day
Platform planning and management.
Identifies software changes required to deliver the Mission team priorities and TPO roadmap, maximizing re-usability and conformance to out of the box platform features.
Works closely with Solution architects, mission teams to align business requirements to standard platform capabilities where possible.
Understands software vendor patching, upgrades, security vulnerabilities.
Plan changes that maintain, or improve, platform stability, supportability and security.
Provides sizing estimates during the design phase to help support cost / roadmap planning.
Influence the Telflow development roadmap to accommodate Vocus requirements into "out of the box" capability.
Have a clear understanding of Vocus strategy, and the implication for platform roadmaps.
Manage and Mentoring the development team.
Manage and maintain CI/CD pipeline and coding standards across the team, in line with the System of Work.
Accountable for training and ensuring developers adhere to software development best practice.
Mentoring the development team and ensuring growth and relevant training and certification is achieved.
Maintain ways of working consistent with Vocus standards.
Ensure teams works within the System of Work, and provide input to support continuous improvement.
Build and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
Understand how data is used within business processes and its impact on desired business process outcomes.
What you'll bring to this role
Minimum 15 years+ commercial ITexperience with 10 Years demonstrated experience leading highly successful teams.
10 Years demonstrated experience and configuring and developing and designing Telflow solutions.
3 Years demonstrated experience in the Telecommunications sector.
Relevant Telflow certifications
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Excellent with business analysis processes and ability to work closely with senior business stakeholders.
Outstanding commitment to customer service and internal and external customer experience.
Ability to ensure consistency of standards/procedures and promote efficiencies.
Well-developed relationship building skills.
Able to work and deliver to committed timeframes.
Strong leadership characteristics.
Experience working with Jira, Confluence, Gitlab and Microsoft office products.
Intermediate Developer/Solution Consultant Qualification or equivalent in Telflow
Entry Level Develop/Solution Designer Qualification in integration standards and technologies.
