Position DescriptionKey AccountabilitiesResponsible for systems and database administration, software configuration, system performance, fault investigation and reparation (including metering and field transducer reparations)Responsible for industrial IoT requirementsIdentify the technical requirements needed on each projectCompile the specifications, scope of works, bill of quantities and evaluate the standard of deliveryProvide support in the implementation of the system and associated equipment from commencement to completionProvide technical advice to Project Managers, Sales and CommissioningResponsibility to deliver services in line with contractual obligations and within the scope of worksEnsure that project requirements and deadlines are metComply with company policies, procedures and OHSSkills/ Selection Criteria (qualifications & experience)Current Driver's LicenceDemonstrated experience in a real-time, telemetered, secondary systems design, commissioning, or maintenance roleExposure to telemetry systems using SCADA and IoT platforms with a sound knowledge of relevant SCADA telemetry protocolsDemonstrated experience and understanding of Linux, C, C++, SQL, Python and SDLCAbility to template Markup Language (JSON and YAML)Skilled with SCM (with preference of Git)Proven experience with CI/CD conceptsUnderstanding of Modbus and an ability to decode registersKnowledge of MQTT and Telecommunications concepts and network TCP/IP communications (including wireless technologies)Demonstrated expertise working with distributed network systems, VPN, and common network interfacesAbility to work under pressure with strong attention to detailInterest in Microcontrollers and SBC such as AVR, Arduino, and RaspberryPiAbility to draft technical drawings (wiring diagrams, schematics, and SLD would be advantageous)Further informationWe believe in providing a great employee experience.
