We are looking for full time Telematics Technician (Field Based) to provide continued support to our growing customer base. You will ensure the Microlise product portfolio is fully integrated into the customer's assets; the installation, service and support of our product suite and peripherals with the Victoria, Melbourne region.

What will you be doing? Using test equipment to locate electrical and electronic malfunctionsDismantling and removing electrical and electronic assemblies and componentsInstalling electrical equipment and electronic components in motor vehiclesConnecting power-operated vehicle equipment and accessories to power supplyAdjusting engine control systems and timingTesting and replacing defective alternators, generators, voltage regulators and starter motorsRepairing and replacing faulty ignition and electrical wiringReplacing defective parts such as fuses, lamps and switchesTimely visits to customer sites to undertake the installation, service and support of Microlise productsCompleting survey visits and identifying suitable solutionsCompleting QA visits on Microlise products and peripherals in customer assetsResponsible for the upkeep and safety of your vehicle and all provided tools /equipmentProvide support to your peers and contractor resource where requiredEnsure administration is concise, accurate and professionalAdhere to all internal process and proceduresReport on statistical information when requiredWhat are we looking for? Demonstrable experience working as a Telematics Technician / EngineerIn-depth knowledge and understanding of telematics products; installation and services e.g. driver tablets, cameras, on-board diagnostics, GPS, etcFull Driving LicenceExperience of working to Service Level Agreements and Operational SchedulesUnderstanding of vehicle wiring diagrams and ability to interpret theseEvidence of strong customer service skills with a professional approachGood interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adjust style to relevant audiencesBe able to work autonomously, solve problems independently and adhere to agreed processesTake pride in what you do ensuring quality and accuracyValid Passport for travelWorking Pattern This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. Our technicians work a Monday-Friday pattern, with occasional requirements for late or weekend work. Travel and staying away may be a possibility dependant on customer demand.
