An exciting opportunity for a Telecommunications Technician specialising in Unified Communications (UC) and Networking Solutions is available. You will play a crucial role in deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecommunications infrastructure for our clients. You will be responsible for installing and configuring UC systems, networking equipment, and ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with clients to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities Deployment and Installation: Install, configure, and commission Unified Communications systems, including VoIP, SIP Trunking, and IP Telephony solutions.Deploy networking solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.Ensure all installations meet industry standards and client specifications.Testing and Troubleshooting: Perform testing and troubleshooting of UC and networking equipment to ensure optimal performance and functionality.Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to network connectivity, voice quality, and system integration.Client Support: Provide on-site and remote support to clients during the deployment and post-deployment phases.Offer technical guidance and training to clients on the use of UC and networking solutions.Documentation: Create and maintain accurate documentation of installations, configurations, and client interactions.Prepare reports on project progress, challenges, and solutionsCollaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to ensure successful project delivery.Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices.Maintenance and Upgrades: Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on UC and networking systems to ensure reliability and security.Identify opportunities for system enhancements and propose solutions to clients.Managing information and imputing data in internal systemsQualifications and Requirements Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in telecommunications or networking, with a focus on UC solutions. Proven experience in deploying and supporting IP-based communication systems and networking equipment.
Skills: Strong understanding of VoIP, SIP, and IP Telephony technologies.Proficiency in configuring and managing networking devices (routers, switches, firewalls).Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients.Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
