Job DescriptionAs a key member of our team, you will utilise your expertise in installing, testing, and commissioning fibre optic and copper cabling infrastructure for our clients. Your role will also involve deploying and decommissioning enterprise ICT and computer equipment, including server cabinets and racks. Proficiency in cable management, encompassing containment baskets/trays and ducting, is essential.
Working alongside accomplished technicians, you'll play a pivotal role in mentoring and training apprentices, fostering their hands-on development. Your strong communication skills will be invaluable as you liaise with clients and collaborate within our fast-paced, growing environment.
About You You will:
Hold a current ACMA cabling licence, with endorsements in structured and fibre optics, as well your White Card.Or be an Electrician with current licencing valid in VIC.Bring experience in technical telecommunications, specialising in cabling, fit outs and advanced fibre optic installations.Be confident in working with servers, networking equipment, routers, switches, cooling units and WiFi. Experience in cable patching would be highly regarded.Have access to a reliable work vehicle (appropriate for carrying tools and supplies from one site to another, across the Melbourne metro area).Be willing to be a part of an on-call roster.Be eligible to obtain your baseline/NV1 security clearance.Excel in both collaborative team environments and in working independently.Showcase proactive problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail and always have focus on health, safety, environment and quality.What's in it for you?
