About The Opportunity Programmed Electrical Technologies department currently has multiple opportunities for Communication Technicians to join our team in Darwin in a full-time role.
This is a great opportunity to be part of a team that provides data installation on a wide range of customer sites and installations.
Nature of position: Full-Time Location: Winnilie, Darwin Salary: 80 - 90K

Super Benefits Great weekly wages & penalties available Vehicle, Uniforms, footwear & PPE provided Job security working in an essential service Long-term career potential Key Responsibilities examine drawings, specifications and work areas to determine positioning and connections for equipment to be installed locate faults in telecommunications equipment using instruments such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters and transmission measuring equipment attach wires and cables to appliances adjust, replace and repair faulty items, and testing equipment using electronic instruments install cabling for telephone, radio, pay TV and computer transmission join cables and seal sheaths with lead and thermoplastic erect, test and maintain aerial and underground wires and cables, and radio and mobile phone antennae install telecommunications equipment and appliances such as telephones, switchboards and data transmission equipment About You To join our team, you will have an open registration cabling license with a passion to provide quality work and a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others.
Additionally, you will have Certificate lll in telecommunications is desirable Experience in defence or commercial and industrial works Defence clearance is advantageous Current driver's license Demonstrate a professional approach to the workplace Execute work that is of a high standard A strong commitment to and understanding of quality, environmental, occupational health and safety management systems.
