Telecommunications Technical Officer

CPS Technology & Infrastructure are seeking a Telecommunications Technical Officer to join our team in Sydney.The candidate will need to meet the following requirements: Experience with VHA/TPG & Optus specifications, standards and HSE guidelines Able to read and interpret technical design documents, and implement/install equipment as per design, as well as being competent in troubleshooting Performance monitoring of telecommunications networks, diagnosis and repair of faults, and the selection and installation of equipment Provide technical advice and information, and monitoring the performance of complex telecommunications networks and equipment Experience working on Telstra, VHA/TPG and Optus (4G/5G) Liaising with vendors, suppliers, service providers and external resources and monitoring contractual obligations and performance delivery Experience working with Huawei/Ericsson/Nokia equipment Installation and commissioning of Base Station & Radio equipment, RF feeder & hybrid and associated optical tails / fibre management trays, etc.Installation of Earthing and labelling following client's specification Perform testing using PIM tester, spectrum analyser and site master Perform testing with Fibrescope and light source on fibre cables Ability to liaise with RIC team to integrate and troubleshoot Carry out post integration call tests to verify cell configurations, hand off parameters and call quality Able to technically assist riggers on-site Skills, Experience, and Qualifications: Minimum 5 years' demonstrated experience in the telecommunication industry.Sound understanding of WHS requirements and responsibilities - including SWMS, MOP, JSA's Excellent written & oral communications skills Appropriately skilled with MS applications including excel and word Must be permitted to work in Australia Required tickets/licenses: Australian driver's license White card Telstra, Optus and VHA/TPG safety inductions RADHAZ Awareness Working at height First aid & CPR In return, CPS can offer you an excellent salary package and a chance to make your mark on this fast-growing company.If you are looking for a chance to give your career a great leap forward within the wireless telecommunications sector, this is the role for you.This role is based in Sydney with a salary range between $65,000 and $80,000 + superannuation.
