Techno Services Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Telecommunications Linesworker
to join our team.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:
• Examine technical drawings, specifications, and work areas to determine optimal positioning and connection points for the installation of telecommunications equipment.
Ensure all installation plans align with safety standards and project requirements.
• Use diagnostic instruments such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters, and transmission measuring equipment to locate faults in telecommunications equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure service continuity.
• Install and secure cables for various telecommunications services, including telephone, radio, pay TV, and computer networks.
Ensure the proper placement of aerial and underground wiring, following blueprints and safety regulations.
• Join telecommunications cables and seal the sheaths with lead or thermoplastic to prevent damage and ensure long-term system integrity.
• Erect, test, and maintain aerial and underground wires and cables, as well as radio and mobile phone antennae.
Inspect and repair faulty wiring, connections, and equipment to restore service promptly.
• Install, calibrate, and test telecommunications equipment, such as telephones, switchboards, and data transmission devices.
Perform routine checks and maintenance to ensure the optimal performance of installed systems.
• Set up, configure, and maintain telecommunications appliances and terminals, including telephones, switchboards, and other related equipment to ensure they function correctly in accordance with operational specifications.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure that all equipment is handled and installed in compliance with industry regulations.
Conduct safety checks to identify hazards and mitigate risks during installation and maintenance tasks.
• Communicate with clients to understand their requirements, provide technical advice, and ensure customer satisfaction with the quality and performance of telecommunications systems.
Qualification and Experience Requirements:
• Relevant qualifications in telecommunications technology or a related field, such as a Certificate III or IV in Telecommunications Technology.
(Preferred but not mandatory).
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a Telecommunications Linesworker
or in a similar role.
The candidate should possess the following tickets and licenses:
• Driver License
• White card
• RADHAZ Awareness
• Working at heights
• First Aid & CPR & LVR
