You will be responsible for investigations following unplanned telecommunication system outages and take necessary corrective action, as directed. Additionally, you will prepare and issue reports on all test results and maintain design drawing corrections.You will assist in the development and maintenance of documented procedures for the installation, repair and testing of telecommunication systems and equipment while providing training and support to system users when installing new equipment.The bottom of the salary band for your new role as a Telecommunication Engineering Technician, ranges from $109k - $140k + 14.75% superannuation for a 9-day fortnight. The position and level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the successful applicant's knowledge, skills and competencies that are required in this position.Critical to your success in the role is your:Certificate III in Telecommunications (trade certificate)Knowledge and experience with maintenance, installation and commissioning of telecommunications systems and the use of appropriate test equipment.Demonstrate ability in basic fault analysis and restoration of telecommunication systems.Strong time-management skills and an ability to plan, prioritise and co-ordinate resources to deliver positive outcomes within the agreed timeframes.Excellent customer service skills with ability to solve issues and adapt/learn new skills.Ability to provide coaching and technical support to individuals and teams alike.Ability to use a variety of electronic devices and learn new software/skills effectively.
