Job Description This is a unique opportunity within TAL to work closely with the CIO and the Technology Leadership Team (TLT).
This strategical critical role plays a pivotal role in the development of business planning activities across Technology at TAL.
The role will lead the business planning process for Technology and assist TLT in translation of the Tech strategic plan into detailed and executable initiatives which can be tracked to ensure successful execution of the strategy Reporting to the CIO, you will support the successful operation of the Technology function including crucial Annual Planning, Annual Budget Process, Technology Internal Comms, Management Reporting and a wide range of strategic initiatives and projects.
Working closely with the CIO and TLT you will support activities to further develop and revise TAL's Technology Strategy into achievable milestones and KPI's.

In this role you will:?  Direct the efficient strategic and operational running of the unit, providing strategic support to the ClO and TLT on a wide range of strategic, planning, and operational matters.
Collaborate closely with the Technology executive and extended leadership team to actively contribute to the development, communication and accurate reporting of Technology strategic plans and roadmaps.
Develop and lead preparation and implementation of communication plans across Technology, regarding strategy, continuous improvement and excellence.
Take the lead in advocating for and implementing standardised approach to business administration and operations across Technology, resulting in enhanced coherence and consistency, along with streamlined and automated processes.
Skilfully manage the co-ordination of regular operational planning and roadmap activities, ensuring transparent visibility for the Technology Leadership team, Extended Leadership team (annually, quarterly, monthly).
Provide in-depth analysis of financial, technology and operational considerations, applying quant and qual data analysis Work closely across TLT and Finance function to ensure alignment of Strategy, technology strategic plans and investments, including effective TCO profiling and action plan development.
Direct strategic projects and initiatives, or act as a key resource on more complex projects and initiatives, including Technology Cost Leadership.
Support Technology Leadership in leading and providing an advisory service to the business in annual business planning and strategy formulation Drive engagement with across Global Technology teams and Dai-ichi Life &, specifically, participate in the Global Innovation Taskforce Qualifications Exceptional communicator with external and TAL senior leadership stakeholders (verbal and written) High level of expertise in finance and accounting principles, including technology investment profiling Experience in leading business, operations and/or technology initiatives and change agenda linked to transformation agenda – ideally within product and platform delivery models Strong understanding of the FSI environment within Australia Possess a blend of business and be technically savvy; having a big-picture vision as well as the drive and attention to detail to transform strategy into action plans.
