About the opportunity:
We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced and dedicated Information Technology Security Manager (ITSM) to support our Technology Advisory and Solutions.
You would be responsible for ensuring that information systems meet the highest security standards and comply with regulatory frameworks.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and ensure system security compliance, managing Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs).
Investigate, coordinate, and manage security incidents and ensure timely resolution.
Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational security strategies.
Conduct risk assessments, audits, and security reviews, ensuring compliance with government and industry security standards.
Oversee the design and implementation of security controls to mitigate identified risks.
Stay up to date with evolving cyber threats and implement proactive measures to prevent breaches.
Communicate security risks and mitigation strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Formal qualifications in information security or cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certifications highly desirable).
Demonstrated experience applying government and industry security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and others.
Proven experience in an IT Security Manager or similar role, managing cybersecurity programs and implementing security policies.
Expertise in system security risk management and authorisations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security issues to non-technical audiences.
Ability to work independently, show initiative, and handle responsibility under minimal supervision.
Experience working in highly regulated environments, particularly within government or defense sectors.
Exposure to managing IT security within aviation, military, or critical infrastructure industries.
Familiarity with emerging technologies, cyber threat trends, and protective measures.

Qualifications relevant to your experience.
Due to the nature of our work, an Australian Citizen with a current or recently inactive AGSVA clearance is required.
Able to multi-task and prioritise workload.
Able to show initiative and adaptable to client requirements.
Able to build and maintain relationships.
Able to manage conflict.
A self-starter who takes the initiative with excellent problem-solving skills.
A high level of communication both written and verbal.
An ability to work either individually or as part of a broader team.
