Technology Specialist - Cyber Security Specialist

We want you to help secure our future as a Cybersecurity Specialist, protecting critical systems and ensuring mission success.About the opportunity:We have multiple immediate opportunities for experienced Cyber Security Specialists that have a deep understanding of both Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) networks to join our team. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing cyber vulnerabilities across military systems.Key Responsibilities:Identify and assess critical digital and communication assets to detect potential cybersecurity risks.Perform vulnerability assessments of OT and IT systems, recommending mitigation strategies for identified security weaknesses.Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to integrate cyber defence strategies into operational military equipment, ensuring mission readiness.Monitor evolving cyber threats and adjust security strategies accordingly to protect military operations.Develop and implement risk management solutions to ensure the protection and resilience of onboard systems and networks.About you:Experience in government, Defence, or other highly regulated sectors.Ex ADF personnel encouraged to apply.Australian citizen with a current or inactive AGSVA clearance (NV1).Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor (Highly preferred).Certifications or formal training in cybersecurity frameworks and standards, especially those relevant to maritime environments, are highly valued.Strong understanding of the integration and security challenges of OT and IT networks.Experience in conducting vulnerability assessments or cyber penetration testing is highly desirable.Ability to work remotely with periodic assignments.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure in diverse environments.Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with both military and civilian stakeholders.Experience in cyber security or naval operations is advantageous.An ability to work either individually or as part of a broader team.How to apply:To apply, please submit your resume (PDF or word) format with your cover letter.
