The role will be a permanent position reporting directly to our Head of IT.About the roleAs a Technology Governance Manager you will be responsible for supporting Hannover Re Life (HLR Aus) and other Global entities in Australia in managing Information Technology and Security Governance.Duties and Responsibilities:Designing, implementing, and maintaining technology and information security governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CPS 234, CPG 234, CPG 235) and regulatory requirements.Developing, updating, and enforcing policies, procedures, and standards related to information security, data protection, and technology risk management.Identifying, assessing, and managing technology and information security risks across the organisation. Implementing controls to mitigate risks and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies. Preparing for and managing internal and external audits related to information security and technology governance.Developing and maintaining incident response plans and protocols. Leading and coordinating response efforts to technology and information security incidents.Working closely with Risk & Compliance, and other business units to integrate security and governance practices into technology projects and business processes.Developing and delivering training programs to educate employees on information security policies, best practices, and their roles in maintaining a secure technology environment.Effectively managing IT Third party Supplier, Regulator and Stakeholders.Monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of governance practices and controls.
