Flexible part-time or full-time role, based in-office in Milton, QLD Initial six-week contract with potential for ongoing opportunities Be part of a fast-growing SaaS company revolutionising the HR industry About the Opportunity Scout Talent Group is looking for a Technical Writer to join our team in Milton, Brisbane. This role can be part-time or full-time depending on your availability, and will involve working in-office for a period of six or more weeks. There may be opportunities to continue with us beyond the delivery of the project, depending on your performance and availability.
The primary purpose of this role is to prepare a user guide for our flagship SaaS platform (an Applicant Tracking System and Recruitment CRM), covering all features, support instructions, how-to guides, glossaries and other supporting documents.

You will gather information from various teams to develop, organise and write the user guide with the goal of creating a comprehensive go-to-guide for the platform.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Planning, writing, updating, and delivering technical documentation for the software that can include release notes, user guides, reference manuals, configuration options, glossaries, admin guides, etc. Collaborating effectively with the product owner, stakeholders, and support engineers to gather product information. Researching, outlining, writing, and editing content to meet documentation and process requirements. Making recommendations for enhancements to training materials and knowledge base as needed. Analysing existing and potential content for reuse and single-sourcing opportunities. Ensuring proper grammar and spelling in all documentation and coordinating reviews with the development team. Adapting to new project requirements and meeting deadlines. About You To qualify, you will need:
Experience writing software technical information in user-friendly language High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure Excellent written and verbal communication skills The ability to prioritise tasks, manage time efficiently, and collaborate with diverse teams Additionally, the following skills will be highly regarded:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proven ability to autonomously work well with stakeholders Experience in a relevant field such as technical writing, copywriting, marketing communications, or journalism Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy Familiarity with documenting technical products or specifications Experience in the HR software industry (highly desirable but not essential) You are a self-motivated individual contributor with a proactive approach to managing multiple projects and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
