The Opportunity: We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer to join our business on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Within this role you will be responsible for the translation of complex technical concepts and procedures into easily understandable technical documentation such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, technical guides, user manuals and training information.
The documents that the Technical Writer creates contribute to the safe and efficient operation of the site.
The Accountabilities: Develop, update, maintain and deliver technical documentation, including but not limited to: Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work instructions, Technical guides, User manuals, Training information.
Work with a broad group of stakeholders (e.g.
Quality, Safety, Operations, Maintenance etc.)
to understand technical and functional requirements for the development of documentation.
Write user-friendly, engaging documentation about highly technical subjects for the target audience.
Determine the type of publication that will best serve the project requirements and audience.
Manage document usability and currency, through ongoing reviews, knowledge management and version control.
The Ingredients for Success: Just like you can't make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role; • Tertiary qualification in English, communications, or a related field • Manufacturing experience, preferably in an FMCG food or related industry • High attention to detail • Ability to translate complex technical language and processes, writing and editing scientific, technical or complex content for a variety of audiences • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document development software.
Advanced Microsoft Word skills.
