The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity available for a Technical Writer to join the APA Networks team in Eagle Farm QLD, Kidman Park SA and Thomastown VIC, on a Fulltime six month Fixed-Term contract basis.
Reporting to the Team Lead Technical Practices, this role is to develop and maintain business and technical documents, intended primarily for field-based teams, by providing ongoing technical writing and document management support.
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain Technical Work Instructions and Procedures and ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory obligations as well as Australian and industry standards Manage the delivery of the suite of documents as per the Steering Committee approved schedule Liaise with Capital Delivery and Operations to deliver 'fit for purpose' practices that represent compliant field activities Facilitate alignment workshops for Capital Delivery and Operations State Managers to reach an agreed national approach where inconsistencies exist between state requirements Work closely with various business support teams, such as Corporate HSE and Risk & Compliance to ensure the documents incorporate relevant HSE impacts Your background Graduate qualification in science, engineering, journalism, English or equivalent career related experience Cert IV Trainer and Assessor Proven experience in technical writing & electronic document management systems Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System Ability to interpret engineering standards, drawings and specifications About the Team Networks manages and operates transmission pipelines and local distribution networks that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.
This is an exciting time for the Networks team, we are growing and expanding with many new projects, including 2032 Olympics.
Also, we have a strong culture of continuous improvement and working towards Net Zero with the introduction of renewable green gas into the Gas Networks.
