Job Description The Technical Training Specialist Role is a newly created opportunity in our Learning Academy Team predominantly based at our Cockburn site.
This role will involve travel as required to other Synergy sites such as Collie & Pinjar.
This role is responsible for achieving an appropriately trained and competent workforce that meets business needs by delivering technical training programs that meet legislative requirements and encourage continuous learning, adaptation to change, and the achievement of new skills.
Job Responsibilities: Assess requirements for site-based training to develop on-site operational technical training initiatives to ensure strategic and compliance training needs are met. Facilitate Synergy's operational and technical learning programs with a focus on onsite training, operational capability workshops, prioritising HV switching and permit to work. Develop and conduct assessments to assess achievement of competency from training aligned to VET standards and other internally developed competency requirements, including Verification of Competencies. Ensure training issues, risks and opportunities are clearly understood through in-depth investigation, analysis, and research into best practices to address performance gaps and deliver effective & safe outcomes. Monitor and maintain the quality and currency of technical learning solutions, providing timely and accurate training data and reports to the Manager, Compliance and Future Skills Academy. Profile Description Relevant trade certificate/qualifications. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or relevant field, or equivalent 7-10 years' technical experience. A high level of digital literacy. Must be customer service oriented, sensitive to the needs of key stakeholders. Must be willing to travel to various Synergy sites as required for training.
