Technical Test Engineer - North Sydney

Leading software company requires a Technical Test Engineer for their Sydney office for an initial 5 month + contract.

As a Technical Test Engineer you will showcase your expertise in all aspects of the software testing lifecycle from an end-to-end perspective.
On a daily basis you will: Understand test plan, test scope and test strategy.Comprehensive test cases covering all aspects of the software under test, including positive and negative scenarios, boundary conditions, and edge cases.Document test execution logs that record the results of each test case, including pass/fail status, actual outcomes, and any deviations from expected behaviour.Prepare defect reports detailing all identified issues, including steps to reproduce, severity, and priority, to facilitate efficient resolution by the development team.Create regression test suites to ensure the stability and integrity of the software across multiple releases or iterations.Summarize overall testing activities in test completion reports, including coverage metrics, test effort expended, and key observations or insights gained.To succeed in the role, you will have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Proven experience (8+ years) in end-to-end Software test lifecycle.Expertise in relational databases and ability to retrieve desired data in SQL/T-SQL.Experience and understanding of various APIs (SOAP/REST/Graph) via toolsets like Ready API, Postman, etc.Analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve problems.Ability to manage and prioritize multiple, diverse projects/workloads or priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced agile methodology.Experience in testing web applications, data integration, data migration, and reporting, as well as developing technical documentation.Design and deliver test activities for both new and existing applications using various test types (e.g., systems, integration, user acceptance, and production verification testing).Ability to communicate technical concepts/information to a broad range of stakeholders.In return, a fantastic daily rate is on offer for the successful candidate. A hybrid work model is in place.
