Technical Team Lead

Role Overview You will be joining a fintech start-up as they undergo their scaleup phase, backed by a leading neo-bank! The client is a B2B payments and spending management platform that helps businesses to manage and streamline their finances. Some of the key solutions include corporate and virtual cards, a mobile app for live transactions and receipts and expense management and accounting software. They have joined forces with an AI powered business accounting app, who will establish a leading banking platform! We are looking for a team player and a coach, someone who is passionate about building out teams of high performing technology enthusiasts, all with the common goal of seeing the product thorugh its scaling! In the early stages the role will be hands on, getting to grips with the product and strategising how to grow the team and platform offering within the Australian market. Day to day you will... > Lead and develop a high-performance engineering team, emphasizing individual growth > Deliver new features and products while setting and achieving clear goals and deadlines. > Collaborate with the Engineering teams to leverage infrastructure for faster Australian product launches. > Provide leadership, foster positive culture, oversee reviews, manage projects, optimize workflows, and resolve conflicts efficiently. > Develop web applications with new functionality, adhere to industry-standard engineering practices, and perform acceptance testing. We are looking for... Solid engineering background with proven leadership experience. 4+ years of people management in a technical setting. Proficient in agile methodologies, prioritizing completion and stakeholder collaboration. Experience in scaled agile engineering, with a focus on effective career progression; bonus points for expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Python proficiency, and fintech industry experience.
